Commissione Roma Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent supports photography as an artistic expression of openness to others, following an approach based on acknowledging and valorising cultural differences as a source of wealth.
Photography is a privileged means  for communicating instantly and with no linguistic barriers. It is also a creative means for expressing oneself and portraying the world that surrounds us.
This partnership with FotoGrafia –Rome’s International Festival, which started quite by chance in 2006 and that grew in terms of commitment and contents, sponsoring also “Mutations 1” in 2007, which presented the work of the finalists in the Alcatel-Lucent Award for the European Month of Photography, this year links our company to what is perhaps the most representative exhibition in the entire review: Rome Commission – FotoGrafia Alcatel-Lucent.
We are especially delighted that this commitment links us to Gabriele Basilico, a world-famous photographer, and to his work on Rome, portraying the poetry and eternal charm from the city banks of the Tiber.
We are also proud to be part of this project, fully convinced that spreading culture means promoting exchanges between populations.
